Look Ma, No Hands!
I am trying to fine some information on a late 40's Monark Silver King hexagonal aluminum frame bike. I bought it at the local bike shop. The older gentleman consigned his Dads stuff to be sold. I saw this being put out for sale. I had to have it! I will get some pictures up soon. I am trying to restore it to its former glory without destroying the well deserved patina. Frame is good. Front double springer is missing. But I have a Original Monark one that looks right 1948. What headlight, fenders, bike rack? Seat post is original , as is the seat. Chain guard? Many questions. Never had any old aluminum bikes from this era. Any information is welcome. Thanks to everyone on the CABE, always willing to help. Oh yeah, handlebars? Pictures welcome
