'Lil Knee Scuffer
Found this the other day. Believe only frame, chain guard, tank & maybe fork struts(?) to be original to it. I'm unable to located a serial number anywhere, where is it located?

Both sides rear axle & bottom of crank to bear metal.....nada.
I would wager you won't find a serial number either, if the original seat post clamp is gone.

I would guess that is a 1948 Huffman frame, badged as Leonard's, they also badged bikes as Western Auto and other jobbers as well.


Huffman, for some crazy idea, put the serial number on the seat post clamp in 1948, bottom bracket in 47 and below, and left dropout in 49 and up. But for whatever stupid reason, the removable seatpost clamp in 48.

I stripped the paint on clamp, and there in was!
