The Donalson Co, produced this trike in 1940 to 1948 or so. This machine is rare and unique, not because it is said that the rider rode it like a horse. It is unique as the rider used two power strokes per revolution by separate inputs; first from his feet pushing down , then when the seat traveled up to it's apex the rider used his coordinated power from his weight to force the machine forward with his butt. This, then again and again.

This system is (out of the box thinking) This machine was fast, distributed the muscle strain to both legs and the dead weight of his butt.
this system allowed the rider to ride longer and faster by reducing fatigue.
This machine is in very good original condition as exhibited by very minor tire ware. All parts are tight. Does not show evidence of outside storage. The paint exhibits some paint blistering and attendant rust at those locations. also has one original hub cap 5 to 6" in diameter on right side. Weight is 20 pounds.

I found this trike in a antique mall in Pacific Mo. Used Palmolive dish soap to clean and car wax on the frame and it looks good.
oiled all places that moved.
The only thing missing is a 10 year old boy with a good imagination
