Anyone know the gauge commonly used for wiring a prewar bike light? I’m guessing 22 gauge? Here is a pick of one Delta silver ray with original off white wire. It’s a bit over 1/16” outside diameter cloth wiring. Also, if anyone out there has any of this please contact me for a reward!

Well, I did find some cloth covered wire I like a lot and have used it and it works great. It’s 22 gauge wire, comes in black and cream white, it’s made to look vintage and it does the job. It’s called Gavitt push back guitar wire, it’s solid copper, not stranded, it’s malleable and looks good, you can dirty it up with some dirt and coffee grounds if you want to really look old. I found it on EBay.
