Thanks for broadcasting this auction so the bike got bid up superfast. The winning bidder was absentee so the local guys had little chance! Much appreciated...

Hate to say it but those days of cheap auction bikes are few and far between anymore. The best thing to do with auction is to hit every farm auction with no bikes listed. Then hopefully get lucky.

I got it, I wouldn’t say it got “bid up” as much as went for a fair price given the HTS saddle plopped onto this frame.

It Has a couple issues but I talked to the auctioneer & family about the bike before the auction and was pretty confident.
Despite trying to be at two places at once (Bicycle Heaven swap in Pittsburgh) they accommodated my bid and I picked up the bike last night.

I’ve got to pull the broken seatpost, replace the mismatched pedals, replace the saddle with an appropriate stand in, add some tires and you’ll see this bike again soon!

We all had the same shot at it, I even announced I was bidding to curb any surprise.
