This is a long shot, something I have been looking for, for years
A complete TOC (pre-1900) 3-piece crank assembly but with very specific measurements.
needs to be complete
- center shaft (as shown) to accommodate a *** 3 1/4" wide bottom bracket (can be a tad longer, but not shorter)
- sprocket (block or very early skip), the larger diameter sprocket, the better
- both crank arms and all hardware
- needs to be in a good enough condition to be re-nickeled
- I won’t be picky on the length of the crank arms, but the longer the better. It’s for an American made Gentleman’s bicycle, so no European specs please.
the bearing cones for the bottom bracket screw in the BB from both sides and one side has an opening of 3/4" and one side is 7/8", so the center crank shaft needs to be a maximum of 3/4" diameter.
The closest I have found is from a E.C.Stearns (left in the picture), but still missing about 1/4" on the width of the crank shaft.
The center shaft on the right is at least 3/4" too short
I will one day modify (cut and lenghten) one, if I don't find one in the next 5 years!!!
PM me or leave your email address here and I will contact you.
