Looking for info on a Carrara bike / not Carrera

-
If you look at the Cararra advertisement it shows the business location as 2 Rue Nelaton Paris.
This the same location as the transfer on the seat tube of my BERTOL track bike.

While researching Cyles Bertol someone sent me this information:

"In my French address books Didot-Bottin I have found entries for Bertol, 2, r. Nélaton, Paris 15e arrondissement from 1955 until 1960. Since 1963 I could not find any entries (I have no copies from 1961 and '62). Before that time there is another company mentioned for the same address, Cycles Carrara (ag. off.) which means probably agent officiel, so just a representative for this make. (Didot-Bottin 1954)

Maybe Bertol took over their business or just the premises?"

This information is very helpful as it narrows the dates down for my search for information regarding BERTOL.

2 Rue Nelaton is very close to the location or the Vélodrome d'Hiver which was a hive of cycling activity until it was demolished in the late 1950's.

I have been looking for a photo or postcard from the 1950's that shows 2 Rue Nelaton, I believe the current business located there is a bookstore.

I have only ever seen photos of two other BERTOL bikes, one a city bike like yours and the other a road bike.

I have posted on this web site looking for information, however even the French know very little about our brands of bikes.

So in my opinion we have a couple of very rare birds.
