If I could tell you one thing.... don't waste your money on it, you'll never get it back. If you're looking for a $20 daily rider than ok, but this wouldn't be a collectible or valuable bike.

Not collectible, and not good quality. Old doesn’t mean classic, sometimes it’s just “old”. I wouldn’t touch this thing with a 10ft pole.

Executive was a house brand for a chain store.

Cycle produced by Styria/Steyr/Puch of Graz, Austria.
One unique dimension on machines of this maker is a steerer of 26.0mm diameter. Means headset special.

Plate style bridges are by ESGE.

Rear hub will be by Fichtel und Sachs - Torpedo brand.

Chainset appears it may be Thun pattern.

Date looks like mid to late 1960's.

Is wheel size 26 X 1 3/8?

Euro version of the machine might have been fitted with size 650A.

Executive brand name was employed by Kresge (Kmart) according to one poster in this forum discussion on the marque -

http://www.schwinnbikeforum.com/index.php?topic=22806.0

Had to check on this as me auld "memory" could not quite pull it up. :grinning:

A poster here states the Executive marque was employed by the Belk's Department Store chain -

Here is an Executive produced in Japan by Fuji -

Manufacturer of our subject bicycle made use of this same frame to purvey models with three-speed planetary and five-speed derailleur drive trains.
