Looking For Pierce Bicycle/Tricycle History

Cruisin' on my Bluebird
I recently discovered Pierce also made a line of tricycles from seeing a CABE listing on ebay for Island Cycle Supply. From what I could see, they had a unique frame design on their trikes which added an extra curve on the rear part near the axle. They also added a gusset underneath the frame/head tube joint for added strength. Here's a trike on ebay I believe is a Pierce model, but missing head badge: http://www.ebay.com/itm/140721390309?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

You can see the frame curve and gusset clearly.

Here's a photo I recently won on ebay, also no doubt a Pierce model with the curved frame: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110830558282?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

However, reading the head badge with a magnifier showed the letters "GRE" angling up from the lower corner, similar to the way Colson applied the name "FAIRY" to many of their trikes. Any guesses on those letters? Could it be a Pierce sold under a store brand name? The stem design on both the ebay listing and photo trikes are identical as well.

I'd like to find out any info, mainly on their tricycle line, about model names, head badge styles, or a general history (photos would be great!) of their years of building tricycles. The Pierce line is one the tricyclefetish site has no info as yet to draw from. Thanks in advance for any info you have to share.

Dave
