looking for source to use late model fat axel on older bike

hopefully I can explain myself here... I have some non original bikes I would like to put later model wheels on but they don't fit on vintage forks..diameter of axel is too large.....I don't want to modify fork, a gentleman mentioned he has seen fat axels with sides milled flat on two sides so it slides into vintage forks....anybody know where to purchase fat axels that are milled to fit in old fork??? thanks in advance for any help.

Have you considered putting the flats on yourself? Or, swapping out to a smaller axle?

Pretty sure early BMX axles had flats. Early MX hubs and even ACS hubs
