Up for sale is an extra seat I had on a display bike that I no longer need. It's never seen the light of day or a butt. If I recall, it's a seat Josh "stradalite" did and is very nice. The seat post clamp is not the one it came with but may work, you may have to swap it out. I have heard these referred as an Aerocycle "style" seat but I'm not an expert, apparently I've been assisted with this "the aerocycle version has a different pan, has a extra stamped well to accept extra padding" but were used on several high end bikes in the 30's-40's to the best of my knowledge which is hit and miss!! Feel free to correct me further. It is big and heavy and will cost about $75.00 to ship tracked and insured. Anything more I will eat at my end. The Flo Cycle is not part of the sale, just for reference. It will be shipped ( Canada post/partners with USPS).I can usually be reached on the Cabe, but not on as often in the Summer. I do check my email regular, but will be away for a few days this coming weekend/off line. Email is nsuser@shaw.ca

Hey Bob, what's up, the aerocycle version has a different pan, has a extra stamped well to accept extra padding ( really noticeable ), from what I've read here your version was used on other deluxe bikes and supposedly the other version just on Areocycles. GLWS

Thanks Mark. I made an alteration, hopefully more correct now. The more I learn , the less I know or remember. Ha!! I also like to say "I know a little about allot, but less and less about a little"?

The good news is once it’s on the bike you can’t see under the the pan 😉
Is that a reference to the seat post clamp? Is it that ugly or incorrect? Most guys have several clamps sitting around that are in the hobby. I had a tool box saddle on a Canadian bike ( '38 CCM Flyte/ large 9/16" post?) and put it on my Hawthorne Flo Cycle ( 1/2" post?) and may have used a clamp in part. Most Canadian seat posts are larger so it's always a pain moving a seat from different bikes/designs/International.

If that clamp is an issue, obvioulsy it's not for a purist or a newbie. I've been in the hobby since the early 80's ( my mentor was Leon Dixon, then the late Larry Busch), riding a bike since the 60's so it's not my 1st rodeo. I know you do seats and fine leatherwork ( and nice ones at that) for a business, so perhaps I'll get a correct one from you or my pal Bobby U if it doesn't sell/pretty sad if that's a big deal. I have bought stuff from you before, lots from Bob/seats/bikes ( we go back over 3 decades) and I have at least 3 seats from Josh.

Life is not easy living on an iceburg. Most of my bikes ( 38 at last count/trying to cull the herd, but selling nice bikes here for more than $1.00 is hard) are American balloon or middle weights, but I have some CCM's and an old 80's BRC beach cruiser my G/F digs because it's light and has a 3 speed twisty. Bob

I'm the Wiz, and nobody beats me!
I don’t think they are referring to the seat post clamp.
The reference was made, because the header on the ad, states that this is an Aerocycle saddle.
The special Streamlined Troxel saddle that Schwinn advertised for the Aerocycle, had an embossed seat pan, that provided extra padding.
Supposedly an exclusive to Schwinn feature?
I’m of the opinion, that either the embossed, or non embossed Streamline Troxels could be correct, for the pre 1936 Cycleplane or Aerocycle.
But, that’s just my opinion, for what it’s worth?

Thanks Marty. Another Caber ( another Mark, @mrg ) pointed that out, so I changed up my description to reflect that faux pas. #3 comment above. Maybe I just confused the matter more? I like to laugh at myself, and welcome correction or opinion from anyone. I see a smile ( missed before) from @markivpedalpusher so it's a lark. You've always been great helping me with stuff, as a host of others on the site have. Thanks.

Thanks Marty, I did change it to say Aerocycle "style" seat, but it didn't help I spelled Aerocycle wrong ( that's also been changed), and me being a stickler for spelling? I can spell "doofus/dufus" is what I feel like.
