I attended the event in Cambridge tonight. Michael did a slide show and talk. He had some good stories including one about meeting MT's daughter Sydney Taylor Brown back in 2001 when he was researching an article he was writing for the Boston Globe. She was in her late 90's at the time, she passed in 2005 at 101 !

She was quite a character. Here is her obit - https://www.post-gazette.com/news/o...er-from-Schenley-Heights/stories/200505180219

She had MT's scrap books from his racing days and donated them to the University of Pittsburgh who digitized them. Here's the link - https://digital.library.pitt.edu/islandora/object/pitt:US-PPiU-ais198407

The highlight of the evening for me was meeting Jan Brown, Major Taylor's great-great-grand daughter. She was awesome. She even answered a few questions from the attendees. All in all a good time. If you can attend one of the upcoming events I recommend it.
