Love the photo additions on these Mark!~ Gives a good look at em. Standard straight gauge14g spokes or 14/15g butted. Any 29-er mtb or 700c road tire will fit it. The rim profile is pretty good, not quite as good as the Blunt but acceptable. No eyelets, but for old bikes and less hard use this seems reasonable. I am not a 700c wheel/tire guy as you know, but need to dive in to some wheel builds for two or three 28-er frames sitting unridden and speaking to me. With the advent of Gravel Racing, (700c rims being the norm) tire choices are HUGE now! Widths, tread patterns, material quality and the works are many and varied. For a Mavic rim at this price, you almost have to inventory a set. Fortunately, the stickers are easily removed with a hair dryer. Thanks for the pics T-man! See you in a few weeks...pete

Note that these rims are not the quality of a Velocity Blunt with a near perfect profile to the early tubulars. And I was told Velocity's are made in the USA, not these. But......they are Mavic and an alternative to the Blunt..
