Finally riding a big boys bike
I have a gooseneck and a seat post that came from a mid teens Iver Johnson truss bridge bike.
1. ON HOLD The lucky 7 seat post has Iver Johnson stamped on it. The outside diameter of the post is 13/16". The length of the seat post shaft is 7 1/8" long. Some rust and some nickel plating. $45 shipped.
2. SOLD The I.J. gooseneck (as noted by the "rounded" shoulder, is very solid. It is mostly rusty, except for the part that is inserted into the frame. Both bolts have good threads. $60 shipped.
The following parts are likely from the mid teens era:
3. SOLD The long spring seat is 11" long front to back, and 7" wide. The leather, although it is worn through in some areas and has some tears, the main one being on the left side (see photo), is still very rideable. I replaced one period-correct bolt (I'm pointing at it in one photo) for the seat frame, otherwise it is all original. This seat comes with the seat clamp. $170 shipped.
4. The handle bars (mustache style) are 21" wide (outside end to outside end). Some rust and pitting, but still lots of plating. I believe it's nickel plating. There is a capital " R " stamped into the part that the goose neck clamps onto. Not sure if these are early Torrington bars. $95 shipped (add $5.00 if they are going to CA, OR or WA).
Paypal as friend/family, or add 3%. Contact me via PM or email: [email protected]
Thanks,
Mike
