Riding a '37 Dayton Super Streamline
I just got home this morning and finally got everything put away. I had pre-bought some stuff but hands down my best score was early Sunday morning at Monroe when I bought the four original Mercury hub caps. I’ve only seen a pic of one original so this was pretty special to me. Let’s see what other treasures showed up.

MLC - A tale of two scooters!

At the Spring 2021 MLC meet, whilst talking to some CABER's I learned that a seldom seen (red) streamline Steelcraft scooter that I had found on Marketplace, in Florida that winter, but did not pull the trigger on -- a whole other story! -- was bought by another CABER from the midwest -- who just so happened to be in Florida at the time -- bought it and transported it back to the Midwest, where it changed hands fairly rapidly, a total of 4x's. After some investigative work, I tracked the scooter down to the current owner in Ohio and was given his phone number on Thursday, but put off making the phone call that evening and returned to the meet Friday morning only to learn that the owner of the scooter was seen set up in the back of the swap with the scooter. Again a few CABER's alerted me and told me where it was spotted. I RAN to the area, only to learn it had just sold and that the new owner had just left!! UGH!!

A few months had passed after the meet when I was alerted by the same CABER who had bought the elusive scooter in Florida that another deluxe (electric horn) BLUE Steelcraft showed up on ebay with a buy it now and I pulled the trigger!! Not wanting to chance damage in shipping I looked to the CABE for some one to transport it and arranged to have it delivered to me and picked it up at MLC last Wednesday. The waiting was a killer!! I was thrilled and couldn't have been happier -- or so I thought!! -- to finally have posession of my deluxe, BLUE Steelcraft scooter.

Once again, last Thursday, CABER's looking out for me, alerted me to yet ANOTHER (red) steelcraft scooter, spotted under blankets in the back of a van and, yes, I bought it as well! And, to bring it full circle, I confirmed today, that the red one I bought last Thursday, was in fact the very same one that I saw for sale on Marketplace in Florida in the Winter of 2020!! 🤯

THANK YOU @cr250mark, @New Mexico Brant and everyone else for all your help and looking out for me!!
