Monark Rocket refurb and J C Higgins womens bike

Hi all, long time lurker but never posted...My wife and I came across a couple of bikes and wanted to know how much they may be worth and what to look for in repro parts. The 1st one I was told is a 1947 Monark Rocket that appears to have been red in a previous life but is now black (a scratch on one side of the tank is revealing). The other bike is a ladies J C Higgins that Im pretty sure is not original color either. We got these from an older gentleman who used to show these bikes, along with others, but is getting too old to continue his hobby. Any info is greatly appreciated...unfortunately we need the room and as much as we love these awesome bikes we must get rid of them....any help is appreciated...

those paint jobs are nice and were done with a gun.the scratches can be touched up and the spring on the boys can be replaced because its pitted.value wise sell them as a pair for $1800.try here in the for sale thread.
