On Training Wheels
Hi there, I've just joined the club here. I have always had the love of old bikes. Never thought I'd get into them but recently came across this old Montgomery Ward Hawthorne. I fell in love with it and am seriously considering buying it. I have researched it on line and cannot seem to find a similar one. Mine is located in Canada so I'm not sure if that matters. Does anyone have any info on this style of bike? Year, colors, any info or pictures would be great. I'd like to restore it to it's former glory but not sure the colors or any stickers. Thanks Ryan

Cruisin' on my Bluebird
CWC built a lot of Hawthornes and the front end of your bike looks like some CWC's I've seen, but it will take better pictures to say for sure. The second picture is the only one big enough to be of much use.

Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
It looks to have the red & blue M/W 'crest' badge, first seen in the 1950 catalog, and used through the '50s.
