Morrow Axle Question

Hello all,

The axle on my Morrow hub is snapped in half. I have found and axle that is the same thread and diameter, all the parts screw on nicely but.....

The center smooth part of the axle is narrower on the new axle than the old one and the whole axle is wider.

My question is whether or not the width of the unthreaded part in the center of the axle makes any difference or is the end of the thread ensure the left cone assemble does not screw in too far?

Basically, can I still use this axle, given I center the brake assemble as it was on the old axle?

Figured it out.... I think!

Well after studying the diagram and the parts the axle bushing can only move in concert with the left cone so it does not depend on the end of the threads to not move.
