Multi gear hub identification

This was bought at a antique shop with no info other then "early cluster"
Does anyone have any info?

We had this same question come up on the forum within the past two months.

The mechanism was quickly identified by a poster but can no recall the answer.

Unable to think of a way to search the thread.

Just looked up a strange looking bike at the bottom of the CABE page in the ebay listings and it looks like it might have this cluster on it. Here's the auction: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335809022&icep_item=223443669640 . And here's a close up picture of the derailleur:

Researching it a bit more, it looks like it was developed in the 70's. Park Tools has a good blog entry about it. https://www.parktool.com/blog/calvins-corner/tokheim-shifting-system . Weird wild stuff .

I could have just said "search on here for Tokheim". There are quite a few similar posts on the Cabe .
