Wanted to get the group 2c on general year of this machine -
Serial # : MFW 16340

Original paint in excellent condition- looks white base but is closer to grey which is cool.

Petersburg VA license plate

I added the junk balloon tires just to get the hybrid tires off- otherwise original bike.

I’ve been told the 1940ish range and that seems to jive I just wanted to get a consensus before posting it for sale-

My guess would be 1941 based upon some fuzzy logic and the below image (in your case F = year while W = Western Flyer)

Nice one! The prewar Murray codes are sporadic, and aren't identical to the list above, which is actually from a western auto parts catalog. A '41 could also be stamped 'MF' or 'WF', and a Sears bike would usually be 'SF'.

Post a pic of the serial number on the bottom bracket. It's just easier. Judging on frame geometry and head badge style I think this is a 1940-1941 model. The frame looks very close to my 1941.
