Wore out three sets of tires already!
I have this Musselman hub that seems to be identical to the other Model M I find find researching except this one is blacked out and looks like maybe it’s brass underneath? Is that normal ? I have no need for it and might pass it along but I’d like to know what it is forst

If it's not hot rod flat black paint it may be a blackout version of a non plated hub. I am not exactly sure when the blackout parts were first produced but seem to have been in the years '43/'44. Shawn's dating puts the hub right on the beginning of that time period.
