My 1953 Harley Hummer build this week. Day #4.

Started my 1953 Harley Hummer build earlier this week. today is day #4. Going real good and learning a lot about the component of the Harley Hummer. The paint color will be Dupli-Color Purple for the gas tank and fenders. Their clearcoat is a 1K and high glooss. Incredible clearcoat.

I wish I knew were working on this. I was back to Hershey this past week and almost started wrenching on mine. I want to repaint the tanks and fenders.

The Dupli Color High Gloss 1K clearcoat is amazing. And it's gas resistant. Watch for my future posts. BTW I resprayed my Whizzer Sportsman gas tank because gas ate through the standard clearcoat. I sprayed it yesterday with the Dupli color clearcoat. Amazing. Watch for my photo on the Whizzer tank soon.

I am going to do mine in the factory Sportsman’s Yellow and have additional artwork added: think New Mexico and World War Two bomber art. It will be done with the end goal of a patina finish.

Tank is painted and clearcoated and both fenders painted and clearcoated. I used the Duplicolor high gloss. Incredible stuff.
