I scored this Dayton badged Huffman at an antique store of all places! Got it for a great price! Im thinking clean, grease and ride! However, it is nice to know some info on your project! What year is it? Did Huffman do a tankless model? Seat orig? It appears era correct but looks funny! I saw literature that showed a foam covered seat. Is that what this is? Any and all info, wisecracks and tales are appreciated!

@schwinndoggy ... Am diggin' your new ride.

Thoughts .. new rubber ... lose that lobster-trap
over the front tire .... gently clean your prize ...
take everything apart, clean the innermost regions ...
grease and oil the appropriate parts ... do what
you can to preserve it. That machine was made
to be ridden.

Believe it's a 1946 Model. Could very-well be wrong.

Seat post binder, drop outs, guard, and badge all say early post war. Post the serial and any numbers on back of fork crown. Probably was tankless, un-equipped model. V/r Shawn

Any numbers on the back of the fork crown? V/r Shawn
I could not see any numbers on the fork. Also of some interest, it has a rear skip tooth Bendix.

Thanks guys for the info! I will call it a 46! Got it mostly apart now and the fun begins! Appreciate it!

Can I ask you to post a better picture of the seat, please? I have one I've been trying to identify, and I think yours is a match.

I may be wrong but I thought first year of Bendix was ‘47 but may have been ‘46. The bike is one of those years. V/r Shawn
