That's a great looking dx. I'm a dx fan as well, I currently own two and just sold one. That bike looks like it will clean up great. Congrads on picking it up. Rob.

This is the way to go...no bells and whistles(don't lose sleep looking for any)....you got the nice aged look ....classy brother....great score.

Great bike Doug. I have a few of them too and I never tire of looking at a cool one. They look killer when they show a few years. I like to knock out any rust and then hit them with boiled lindseed oil. It blooms the original color and gives the paint a rich finish with lots of depth.

Thanks for the thumbs up, I'd like to look into the boiled linseed oil, what is the process. I usually wash them with soap and water and a white 3m scuffy pad cut in little squares. Then rub them out with 2 different levels of 3m rubbing compound and then wax and polish with turtle wax. My new bike is actually a reddish maroon what does the linseed oil do to the original paint. Do you have any pictures of before and after.
Thanks, Doug
