you have set the bar for your ability to do work so high, you may never have a peaceful day to do your own thing again.
just imagine the expectations for the amount of household repairs, plumbing, painting, yard work,…. That you can do in a day.

When I see the bikes here on the Cabe believe me I'm no restoration artist, just to old and lazy to do it right. If a bike is OG paint etc. I think it is a sin to mess with it but if someone has already took the OG from it. It can only go up from there. Everything I do I'm dragging an oxygen tank around with a hose in my nose. That's why I don't build racecars anymore but I can tinker with old bikes.I have an old Excelsior I would never mess with, I'm even afraid to cut off the 28in. rock hard tires. Those his and her Elgins are nice just the way I like to see em.

She said there was no way I could make this old Elgin look better in one day. When she left for work at 7:30 AM. I got to work, This was a 50 year old repaint so I didn't care what the finished product looked like as long as it looked better when she got home and I WIN the challenge. I got a brush, some old auto paint, sand paper and some tools. The hardest part was getting the white paint off the rims and spokes. That took about a hour I did do something I hate (silver spray paint). Sanded and got busy with the brush, I know the purist people will say I ruined this bike but all I had to do is make it look better, the most important part was to WIN THE CHALLENGE. When she got home she thought it was a different bike. Feel free to tell me if you think it looks better or I murdered this bike,, but remember from A to B in 7 hours.

Thanks for noticing all that junk in the background, I don't have a problem buying stuff but I seem to have a problem selling stuff. I'm going to take some stuff to an online consignment auction next week.
