I still can’t find much on this bike. From what Ive gathered it may have been built for a hardware store in Cleveland, the only other one I’ve seen is Davis built but this doesn't look like anything familiar…
A fairly unique identifying characteristic of the frame is the oval shaped rear forks stays where attached to the bottom bracket. I believe that the feature may be Snyder, and the fork crown might look Snyder also.
Im hopefully gonna be picking this up. It’s a 1910s/1920s Hercules 28” motobike make by the Luetkemeyer bike company in Cleveland Ohio. I’ve only seen one other like it but it was built by a different company under the same badge. Anyone here know anything about it?
I’m going to buy it this evening, not a common bike whatsoever and that’s why I like it so much. I was so tripped up over that sprocket. Thank you for helping me out.
