Mystery race bike?

Picked up this project. Obviously the stem, bars, seat and rims have been replaced. It does have a Mussleman armless rear hub that I believe to be original. 60t front 10" diameter sprocket. Any idea who might have made this or when it was made would be greatly appreciated!

Not a race but a roadster.. fork is bent slightly.. looks like the bike that was at boyds auction..

Good eye, fork is bent slightly. It was at Boyds. Unfortunately, the only bike I landed.

Orient experts shot this one down. Anybody have any idea what it might be?

Pull this bike out today to give it another look. Been off and on trying to identify it with no luck. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be very interested to hear them!

Not sure if this should be in the international section as I believe this is on a 1918 La Francaise Diamant, but I'm curious if anyone has one or knows the purpose of the attachment on the steer tube on the opposite side of the badge. It looks like a push button of sorts. Any insight or thoughts...

I did some more digging and this one has some similarities. I'm not quite ready to say it is a Diamant, but I'm leaning that way discovering the accessory. I thought the hole in the back of mine was for a badge, but it looks like it might be for the accessory and it just had a regular badge.
