I live for the CABE
Howdy folks-
I've got an men's Elgin project that I'm working on with my son and I need some advice as to what to do with the saddle. It's an Elgin-stamped Troxel skirted saddle (still has the Troxel tag underneath) in fair condition with three major areas that have worn through (the most common areas – see pics below).
My question is, Do I:
A) Leave it as it is?
B) Somehow repair the worn areas (and if so how would I do that)?
C) Pay to have the seat recovered?
I'm leaning toward A, but only because I don't know if B is an option. It doesn't seem far enough gone to go for C, but maybe I'm wrong. Regardless, I defer to the expertise of the CABE.
Thanks in advance!
