Look Ma, No Hands!
It was all covered with surface rust, but because of the shape, I figured it was a ND Model 'A'. Cleaned it up and couldnt see any trademarks on it. Looks like, in one pic, it has been sanded. (more rust in that area) Why would someone do that??? Counterfeit???

I just wanted to post, so I could get y'alls thoughts.

Rust - could have been parked for a while with one side up or down; could have had a hub shiner that gave uneven wear to nickel plating(?).

Model-A. Not sure of that gear (planetary?), or some internals; maybe a 2-speed conversion(?).

Oh! - I get it now, it is a Pierce "Chainless" hub, for chainless type bikes.
