Need fender advice for chainguard clearance

I cut down a 1947 b6 fender for a prewar Schwinn frame. Now I need to move or create new bend by chainguard side so I can run chainguard nice and tight against indented area. See pics below to see area that needs work. Chrome fender is not actual fender but used to illustrate the area needing work.

I suppose I can do like stingray profile and eliminate folds in sheet metal and use cutout like in the stingray fender picture. Last resort though
