Finally riding a big boys bike
So i am reassembling my 41 DX. The wheelset i have which i believe is fairly correct but not original to the bike has a ND model D rear. The arm say New Departure Model D in red. When i put the wheel on the brak arm is too short to reach onto the round part of the frame. I read in another thread the correct hub should have just New Departure Brake. Is this true?

Is the other arm a different length?

I compared it to a CWC postwar girls bike with a model D that is cad plated and it is longer.

So i can ride it in the meantime, can i just pop a few links out of the chain to slide it forward?

I would like to line it up with the old spot (where the brake ar was) as i dont want to scratch up the nice OG paint.
