Need help identifying this Ward's Hawthorne Ladies Comet!

Hi everyone! I've managed to figure out which bike this is but I need a better idea of what year model it is and what colors they came in. It's a Ward's Hawthorne Comet Ladies bike. I'm trying to have this picture restored and colorized, and we have no clue what the color could have been. This is a picture of my dad's mom and it's his favorite picture of her. This was taken probably before he was born because its at the house his parents were in before he was born (1951) I think its a 40's model, but I'm having trouble finding what colors they came in and I want to get it as close to what it was. My dad never saw the bike and doesn't know what color it was.

Girls colors under 1 spd regular fork 160 B 3044, 3 options but as the primary color is usually listed first I'd say hers was Platinum Gray and Blue!
