Wore out three sets of tires already!
My partner in bicycle collecting acquired an early bicycle this winter during his snowbird sojourn in Florida. It was tagged as a 1912 Triumph (there is no head badge or easily seen badge mounting holes). Unlike any photos I've seen of Triumph bikes from England, this bike has a head tube that is only 5 1/4" (bearing cups not included in the measure). It also is shaft drive, and equipped with a New Departure coaster brake. Solid wood rims, a Brooks saddle, and a fork with distinct shoulders at the yoke above the forks. Please check out these photos, and, tell me all you can!

Is there a legible mark on the suspension? Patents or maker? Fork look Columbia from the top view, i can't see all the pics posted for some reason

By beginning my research with the hub, @ the Wheelman site and a link back to here... reading Gary Mc posts on hubs.... I see a possible use of this hub 1903, & 1905-06. Then I read a post telling me to check out his album of photos for a Columbia & Hartford catalog. Right away I found a Columbia Model 700 bike with shaft drive and this rear suspension..... the progress so far ($100.00) new in 1907!

My cp blew up... new one coming on 26th; so I'm using an I-pod... picture posting currently puzzling for me, I apologize!
