Need info on rare flex grips - what bicycle used them

Seen them on a few mid-late 50's bikes including Evans/Colson, AMF & aftermarket replacements.

I have found them on Shelby's also from the 50's

My Cw53 stamped Roadmaster girls project had them on them.
