Need info on this

I might have an opportunity to pick this up this weekend but don't really know what it is. It's badged "Collegiate" with Schwinn pedals, chainring, and Westwind tires. It has been re-painted, very well I would add. Seat is obviously incorrect. I usually don't pick up bikes in this condition due to the fact people with stupid money see the shinny and don't really care what it is. Any info would be great.

The Collegiate was Sears “entry level” line. If it has westwind tires that means the rims are Schwinn S-7. Lots of other wrong parts on it too.
I’d say let someone else have this one.

It's great to have this resource. Thanks everyone for the info. The weather is crummy today so I'll save my money and make it a bike work day instead!
