Does anyone know which way do the batteries go. Both up, both down, left up and right down or right up left down?

1 up and 1 down , shouldn't mater which one unless you're using an LED.

Thanks, the light worked and I changed out the horn so now it works too

I need to find a better Delta horn because the one I have works but it's extremely quiet

Even with fresh batteries and adjusting the pitch screw it's still weak ?

Not sure , I haven't got the rooster horn yet only the light, im not familiar with the horn guts of that unit. Any possibility of getting the speaker apart for cleaning
