Finally riding a big boys bike
rebuilding the hub on my Hiawatha and noticed the hub had steel discs instead of steel and bronze. I also noticed that it has 21 discs. When did they change the disc material?

The thicker bronze discs take fewer I think the number is 17 or 18. Total overall thickness of the brake pack is 0.75 inch
good question, would guess right around WWII
