Hi my name is Chris, i just recently restored my vry first bike i purchased it about a month ago, I can't find any thing on this bike can anyone help me.I know it's a murray, the chain gaurd say's strato flite.But the strato flite's came out in the 60's.the closest's bike I found was this 1956 red & white murray,I also found a girl's bike that is a murray that has the same springer,also a western flyer that also has the samt front end .I diden't paint the name on the chaingaurd because Iam pretty sure it's not a strato flite can someone help ,thank you >>--->CHRIS

Your Bike

Yeah it looks like a 50's Western Flyer X-53. Lots of times a manufacturer sold the same bike under different names. Check out www.nostalgic.net check out the bicycle archive photos. More than once I have used them to find out what a bike was and more importantly when I had the wrong sprocket or forks on a bike.
