I need to take a measurement to see it will fit an old Italian frame. Thinking that I need approx. 15/16" (24mm), but I can't remember.

Sorry, but l need a much larger size: 26.2mm (1 1/32"). I was surprised since bike frame is from the 30s. Your post caught my eye 'cause I normally need 27.2mm quill posts.
What did those posts originally fit? I don't have anything with that small of a seat tube (that I know of); I will check my Colson tandem since they're narrow, and solid posts (I believe).

@Jesper, no worries. It fits my 1948 schwinn dx, 1979 schwinn spitfire, and I have it on my 1936 Monark Silverking with shim. Thx!
