New Mexico Brant

Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
This thread is to help clarify to folks that Huffman built the Firestone (Fleetwood) Supreme bicycles with the additional rear straight seat stays.
-These were built in 1937 and 1938.
-They were never referred to as: streamliners, super streamline (this is what Huffman called their bike with the curved seat stays).
-The Firestone version, with straight seat stays, NEVER has a curved down tube!

It is amazing a separate thread has never been started on these. Maybe that is why there is so much confusion and misinformation.

The below 1937 Supreme is owned by Shawn @Freqman1; it has the rare stainless steel initial fenders. Photo credit: Shawn Sweeney

The below is a FAKE-Tribute-Clone, whatever you want to call it. The original frame used to construct this bike is not a 1937 or 1938. The curved downtube with the straight rear seat stays is the give away. There have been folks that feel it is ok to sell these without full disclosure so please be aware! Photo credit to @Jay81 who previously offered this example correctly as a tribute; kudos to Jay for doing the right thing.

Riding a '37 Dayton Super Streamline
...and will never be badged other than Firestone
-should have three hash 'putter' stem. Later bikes may have come with Wald #3 stems?
-will have three hash guard-never crows beak
-long spring seat-tornado was not used on these
-will have front fender initial tray
-should have 'book strap' McCauley rack
-may have optional stainless or aluminum fenders with initial tray
-will have large tombstone rear reflector-not smaller as found on Super Streamlines
-most original found with aluminum front loader but I suspect some may have come with steel as well.
