Old bicycle sidecar?

I picked this up today and was told it was a bicycle sidecar, im curious if anyone knows anything about it. It doesn't seam to fit 26 or 20 bikes without modifications

The straight axle to wheel bar would require the bike wheel to be the same size as the sidecar wheel to ride level. That must have been last mounted to a small sidewalk bike with 12" wheels. Swap the 12" side car wheel for a 16" or possibly even 20" to mount it to a larger bike. The front frame mount will most likely also need to be modified to conform to the larger bike.

That's the same conclusion i came to. I found an add from the 30s that had a similar sidecar. Also sadly i no longer have this. I sold it a month ago.

There were little pedal scooters that looked like a vespa---I'm pretty sure this was an option. Pictures to come when I find them.

Well better late than never. I knew I had seen this but am not sure at all that they actually go together
