Read post #22.
Congratulations were given, and just because you didn't see an offer made in public, doesn't mean that an offer wasn't on the table.
All I wanted to do was open up a dialog with the seller.
He never made contact.
Like I said before, no worries.
You guys are reading more into this than there is.
It's still a semi free country, the guy can sell his bike to whomever he pleases.
The new owner got a really cool piece of American history. Let's hope he's a good caretaker of it, and it's still around in its original state for many more years to come.

I know!
All the guy had to do, was look at the thread that he started, and he would of found several people willing to go to battle for it.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$!

I never do.
Especially when there's snakes in the grass.
This guy already had the buyer, he just used the Cabe to figure out how much he was going to charge the guy.
The jokes on him though, because I would have paid him more than any offer he got, up to around $4,500ish maybe $5,000 if the paint had been in better shape and the original grips had been there.
No worries, there's lots of other bikes out there.
PS. Dales comment is why we need a middle finger emoji to go with the likes tab.
Sometimes a guy just needs to be told to F- Off!

This is why I side with Scott on the "No Fishing" policy. On a lot of forums you aren't even allowed to ask for valuations just because of crap like this. We had at least two others last week that pulled the same stuff. With the interwebs it really isn't too difficult to do some research and determine a price to sell something for most of the time. If you don't have a clue throw it up on Ebay for a start bid you can live with and let it ride. I'm tired of spoon feeding the "one hit wonders" that just come here to get some quick, free advice. That's my position/rant on the subject. V/r Shawn

In a free market system he who cries loudest shall win the day! There are not enough rules to insure the market is a "fair" system, just look at the NY stock exchange...LOL
