I ran across this photo of my uncle from the 50s. He seems to have overestimated the length of his legs!
What make & model is this bike? I assume it’s a 24 inch model from the photo,

Yes, it’s probably my uncle Boyce’s bike.

My parents always bought us things that were two sizes too big so we could grow into them . Maybe he will grow into his pants and the bike

I can’t find any photos of a Mercury with this frame. Can you point me in the right direction?

It's really hard trying to judge the size of the bike. Did a quick spoke count and I think it's possible that might be a 20". The majority of the advertisements for bikes are for the larger sized bikes and the Juvenile bikes take a back seat in promos or just plain displaying.
