Cruisin' on my Bluebird
I just bought this from the local bike shop. At first I thought it was a Shelby so I sent photos to Tim N. He did not think so.

The hedbadge is missing. The screw holes have a 2-15/16" spacing. Notice the fork tubes at the top. One plug is missing. The serial number stamped in the bottom of the crank hanger is E 38122. The 26" rims are tubular steel. The tires are US Chain Tread model 42, size 26" x 1.375. The hubs are ND black outs and the pedals are Wald black outs. Is it indeed aWW II era production bike or simply an old mash up of parts? Any ideas on a date or manufacturer?

Thank you!
