they did not have the V-brakes in 1996, so it is newer than that. the bicycle bluebook is garbage, a decent used mountain bike that sells for $135.00 around here will not have wheels or spent the last 10 years in a mud puddle.

All is well- was my brothers and he bought it and barely rode it. Been tending to it this evening and enjoy it. Am glad to own it. Wish it was one of those lizard models by golly.

When was a kid put about a million miles on a Trek 870 mountain track- also built moms Nishiki mixtie into a mountain bike . Many hills many miles when young. Took a ride the other day on the trails on a recently acquired GT Aggressor Pro- and after ten minutes my hands to the elbows were numb- still enjoyable yet not applicable in these days.
