bought a prewar lightweight frame yesterday. I will be popping parts off a few other complete bikes so this frame has the coolest parts. I have purchased other bikes and done the same thing, swapping parts to make one bike better than it was, putting bad parts on the worst bike. I have 2 bikes I'll be selling soon that have nice big skip tooth New Departure cogs on the back, those are coming off along with the chain to go on my keeper bikes.

Right, ya didn't know whether to eat it or play with it.

When i got my green phantom it was SO nice but for some strange reason the fenders had zero chrome left which stood out like a sore thumb. So...i sourced cleaner original phantom fenders for it and popped the solid rust fenders on my rustier phantom.

wow. you must be old because I am old and we had the plastic ones when I was a kid. I saw a supply your own potato one in the box at an antique store once.
