Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
A true treasure of a bicycle; a "Hanover" by William Read & Son, Boston, USA. This is one of the finest condition TOC bicycles I have owned. The rococo filigree decorations are outstanding, with exceptionally strong paint. Very straight original wooden wheels with single tube tires with some suppleness and life remaining. Does have some minor scraps and scratches, light rust on the seat mast down tube, rear spokes and hub which could be cleaned. Very strong nickel plating but with some losses as expected. The Christy saddle had the pads recovered by Josh, includes matching leather grips by Gary @Myron. The original spoon brake works as it should, original block chain. I am also including one hank of period "cycle lacing" for the rear skirt guard in a color of your choosing. I have done a very light sympathetic cleaning to retain much of the period patina; one could do a full executive detailing for a different presentation. Please PM to purchase. This would be great one to use as a rider at events or as a treasured fine lady in your collection.
