I came across this one but am not versed in the phantoms... it seems reasonable price wise but not sure if it's worth it in this shape. School me! I can pick it up for around 300 but am wary. Thanks

Yeah... I'm with you on this. Pass big time... you will be sideways fast if you try to piece it together. Lots missing or just wrong.

So quick glance I see pedals fenders saddle and wheels are not orig...anything else?
The rust on the fenders seems to match the tank, so that makes me wonder too.

Yea I'm thinking tank is repo and springer is not the (desirable) locking springer so I don't even see this one making parts worth it. V/r Shawn

I would be tempted at just a little bit less...if it was at my doorstep. Obviously not to restore or worry about correctness, but it looks like it would make a nice rider and there are some valuable parts there for sure !

Isn't that a middle weight springer? I'm no expert but it doesn't have the off set pivot like a ballon tire springer.

Not worth the $300, but it does have frame / fork / guard in original paint. Strip off the fenders and tank (scrap fenders, sell tank), slap on some fatty tires, would make a sweet rat. Offer him $150.
