Phantoms And Racks ???

What Phantoms had 4 hole racks, which had 6 hole racks, what are the other choices?

Here is my take on the subject. The four hole carriers were used when the Phantom had the tail light as standard equipment. When they deleted that standard equipment tail light they used the six hole carrier. The tail light was an extra option starting in 1955 I believe, so either six or four hole was used depending on the order.
