Picked up a 1922? franken schwinn Hawthorne looking for opinions hope I can find some

New to this era am I close at least? Picked this bike and another one up yesterday. Thanks for any and all options. Seems like goof off will clean off the light repaint looks like it was done same time as the tires and grips.

1922 28” schwinn Hawthorne:badge, frame fork saddle, seat stem, stem, front fender all correct everything else just tossed on. Lamp, Rack and reflectors period correct but aftermarket? Pedals are great but wrong. I’ll check crank for date. Little boys Schwinn 20” sprocket.

Nice find... I'm thinking if the second digit is a "3" it could just as easily be a 6 or 9 looking at some of the others that have been posted. I think '22 is a little early. The Schwinn built Hawthornes were a pretty limited run and the other examples I've seen have been '24 which would work if the serial was 29xxxxx. It will be interesting to see the crank date but as many non OG parts are there it may have been replaced. Maybe a little more of the serial will reveal itself after some goof off... paint seems pretty thick.

Thanks for the info. Original paint seems really flaky and the red is misted over it. Maybe has couple coats on it we’ll see
